Q: Please tell us a little about your brand.
Emma: My Hair Secret represents a secret shared; the secret to healthy hair.
Founded in Lancashire, England, I created “My Hair Secret” to share my own discovered secret to healthy hair growth with the world.
Q: What do you think makes a product luxurious and how does your product capture that?
Emma: A luxurious product has something special, something different and unique. I believe you get what you pay for in this world, especially when it comes to a product that you can place trust in. The Hair Growth Formula PLUS+ by My Hair Secret is the only product on the market to contain the unique “Lustalox” blend. Scientifically formulated in England with ingredients reported to actually protect hair follicles from the damaging hormone Dihydrotestosterone, revitalise hair growth and help produce healthy, strong hair from within.
Q: What is the inspiration behind your product/ brand?
Emma: I was experiencing problems with my own hair. I noticed more and more hair on my brush each morning and less on my head. I had to find a solution! I also suffer from a condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) which contributed to my hair loss problem. A common issue associated with EDS is digestive problems, so I needed to find a solution that was also Dairy and allergen free.
As a Scientist, I began researching products and ingredients to find the answer. I found that many other people were looking for a similar solution and that many offerings on the market were not suitable for Vegans, or those with dietary issues such as dairy and wheat intolerance. I was horrified to learn many products contain collagen sourced from Marine animals and other animal derived ingredients.
So I decided to make a unique product that was suitable for everyone; ethically sourced, 100% drug free, animal friendly but still highly effective in maintaining healthy hair growth.
Q: What new ideas do you have for the future?
Emma: We are currently researching and testing other hair care products. We hope to expand our brand to include shampoo, conditioner and scalp treatments to complete the range in the future.
Marine conservation and Alopecia support are very important to us and we are in talks with their societies to see what we can do to support them.
Q: Why did you choose to focus on this sector?
Emma: I find a level of intellect and appreciation is required to fully understand how the Hair Growth Formula PLUS+ actually works. By focusing on the luxury marketplace we can offer consumers in this sector some clarity in a saturated marketplace of hair care products. We offer an ethical, well researched, scientifically formulated supplement that is developed and manufactured in Great Britain.
Q: How important is creativity to your brand?
Emma: Creativity is immensely important to our brand. We are consistently looking for new ways to deliver our product and produce new products that will appeal to our ever-changing society. There are new developments in science, business, health and beauty happening all the time and consumers’ priorities are changing along with them; from the increase in demand of natural and organic products to the boom in products relating to male grooming. I believe creativity and innovation are key to ensuring My Hair Secret’s success in this sector.
